Tips and Tricks For Great Fundraisers
- Make sure your team wears organizational clothing when they sell to let people know who they are supporting.
- Keep track of what each member has sold during the fundraiser so you can make adjustments if things aren't doing as well
as you would like.
- Make sure your team knows to talk to family, friends and neighbors while you ask parents to talk to friends and co-
workers.
- Make sure your team is telling people what they are supporting, so they know where there money is going.
- Let people know that the fundraisers you are running could be a great present for people and try to upsell.
- Set goals: Create a group goal as well as individual goals. Share these goals with your participants and let them know
what will be done with the money raised.
- Create excitement: Increase participation by having a meeting with participants and make sure everyone knows the
importance of the fundraiser and what they can do to help.
- Set specific fundraiser dates: We recommend running your fundraiser for 10 to 14 days. Please make sure to include two
weekends.
- Be organized: Make sure everyone is aware of the fundraiser dates and when orders are due.
- Promote the fundraiser: Distribute posters and banners and include the fundraiser in public announcements.
- Communicate: Make contact with your participants every couple of days during the fundraiser. Encourage them often!
- Be safe: Encourage your group to sell to parents, relatives and friends, and recruit them to help sell as well. But remember
- Never sell to strangers!
- Offer incentives: Explain the benefit of selling a certain number of items.
- Have Fun!
